AGS heavyweights went toe-to-toe, blow-for-blow in a classic matchup for the ages.

We’re past the halfway point in most fantasy football league’s seasons and definitely past it in Any Given Sunday. Late-season games between top teams carry double the weight and pressure as playoff seeding comes into sight, and one Week 9 matchup between Pod Squad regulars Ambassadors of Quan and New Jax City brought the two 7-1 teams together against each other for the first time this season. However, these two teams have seen each other at various stages of the playoffs in seasons past, including last year’s Super Bowl. It would have been easier to call this an AGS Super Bowl rematch, but I get paid by the word for my effort. Get it?

If your fantasy football team is in the middle of a fight for the playoffs at this point in the season, congratulations! You have done a wonderful job, but…

And if you’re just trying to win games for the sake of your ragged pride, that’s real. We have to find meaning in our suffering. I say “we” because that’s also me. I’m taking the rest of this forsaken one week at a time. That strategy paid off for me in Week 9 even if it wasn’t an actual fantasy football strategy. It’s not a strategy at all; it’s a mental approach. “Win the week!” Don’t worry about the blown weeks of this season’s past, or the upcoming week’s dismal forecast. Live in this week, and if you won it, bask in it. If you lost, there’s always the next one to win.

In Episode 11, the Pod Squad breaks down the "Greatest Game in AGS History", predicts the U.S. Presidential election results, and reminisce about the Dodgers winning the World Series last week.
