Have you ever lost a fantasy football matchup by 80 or more points? How did you cope? I’m asking for a friend. Hurts something fierce, right?
The NFL season has turned the corner into October, which means the wins and losses carry more weight now. Every win is important, but it gets trickier to earn one as fantasy football rosters turn into Swiss cheese with BYE weeks and inevitable injuries. Waiver wire pickups and handcuffs can turn into lottery tickets, or they can become as useless as tits on a nun. The Fantasy Gods are cruel. Bad draft picks return to haunt the owners who made them during Spooky Season, and there are a few of us in Any Given Sunday who are being tormented by those ghosts.
